In winter, Mount Cimone has one motto: snow fun.
Get ready for fabulous days in the white expanse of snow-covered peaks and the energy of outdoor sports!
Children’s enthusiasm for snow is contagious, and on Mount Cimone, it’s an everyday occurrence! Ski schools and safe slopes for their first approach, as well as fabulous baby parks like the Baby Park Lago delle Polle with a bob track, tubing, and a snow play area, Cimonelandia at Lake della Ninfa, and the Baby Park Cimoncino.
At 2,165 metres, Mount Cimone hosts the largest ski resort in the Apennines, with over 50 km of well-groomed slopes suitable for all levels.
The ski lifts cover the three sides of the mountain, accessible with a single ski pass, with slopes up to 600 metres in altitude difference and numerous snow parks. At Le Polle, you’ll find a brand-new black slope dedicated to Olympic champion Giuliano Razzoli!
If you prefer to immerse yourself in winter nature rather than skiing, snowshoeing excursions will leave you breathless. Daily or at night, they are also suitable for families with children or anyone who isn’t very familiar with skiing or snowboarding. Everyone can enjoy the snow on Cimone!
Sliding on snow or ice is an activity loved by both adults and children and here, there are three ways to enjoy it!
You can try sledging downhill, have fun with snow tubing by sliding down slopes on double or single inner tubes, or visit the first bobsled track in the Apennines: a 700-metre track with straightaways and breathtaking parabolic curves at Passo del Lupo.
If you like the idea of trying ice skating, you’ll find a large ice rink in Fanano that also offers courses for all ages and hosts beautiful figure skating exhibitions and hockey games.
